Montana Spatial Data Infrastructure
The Montana Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) contains 14 Framework layers. The federal government, in cooperation with state, regional, local and private sector interests has identified eight geospatial "framework data layers" for the nation.
In addition to these eight, the State of Montana added six more Montana framework layers to make up the MSDI. These data layers are in various states of development and the completion, dissemination and ongoing maintenance of the MSDI had been identified as a top priority by the entire GIS community.
